Annual Reports
The Annual Reports tool allows users to view data on inspections, violations, enforcement actions, and penalties by state for the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). The Annual Reports tool allows users to select reports based on media and facility size, for all US states and territories, over one fiscal year. The summary tables are generated using frozen EPA data. EPA "freezes" data annually to provide a snapshot view of how the programs are performing. Users may also graph individual metrics across all US states and territories.Annual Report Query

- CAA Non-Majors Report
- CAA Combined Report
- CWA Majors Report
- CWA Annual Noncompliance Report for Non-Majors
- RCRA Larger Facilities Report
- RCRA Smaller Facilities Report
- RCRA Combined Report
Time Periods Covered
Currently, reports are available for federal fiscal years (FY) 2008 and 2009. The federal fiscal year is October 1 through September 30.
Report Download
FY 2008 and FY 2009 Annual Reports are available in PDF format on the Annual Reports query page. Beginning with FY 2009, summary data tables are available in html format that can be downloaded as a comma delimited text file, an Excel file, or graph.
Annual Report Output
The columns provided in the Annual Report output table include:- Region
- State
- Columns for metrics relating to
- facility universe
- inspections
- violations
- enforcement actions
- penalties
The data may be sorted by selecting the up or down arrows in the column headers.
Data Download Options
Users can download a comma delimited text file, or Excel download by clicking on the "Save Results" links located directly below the results table.The full report can be downloaded in PDF format using the link above each table.
Annual Report Graph
Data Download OptionsFrom each graph, users can download the data table as a comma delimited text file, or Excel download by clicking on the "Download XLS" or "Download TXT" links located in the upper right corner of the graph.
To print an Annual Report graph on one page:
Right click on the chart, and select "print chart"
Exporting a graph to a "pdf" or "jpg":
The Annual Report Graphing Utility now has the ability to produce 'jpgs' and 'pdfs' of the graph for export. This function is only available to users who have the latest version of Adobe Flash (version 10). Please note, users can sometimes have different versions of Flash installed across different browsers on your machine (for example, a user may have Flash version 9 installed in Firefox, and Flash version 10 installed in Internet Explorer).
In order to export and save your chart:
The Annual Report Graphing Utility now has the ability to produce 'jpgs' and 'pdfs' of the graph for export. This function is only available to users who have the latest version of Adobe Flash (version 10). Please note, users can sometimes have different versions of Flash installed across different browsers on your machine (for example, a user may have Flash version 9 installed in Firefox, and Flash version 10 installed in Internet Explorer).
In order to export and save your chart:

Right click on the chart, and select the type of file export you would like (options include pdf and jpg).
The Annual Report Graphing Utility will then process your download (this can take up to 30 seconds), and enable the "Save" link below the graph.
Click on the activated "Save" link. Users may need to specify a file extension when saving their pdf or jpg.
