AskWaters Bridge
The ECHO AskWaters bridge integrates NPDES facility and permit information with additional information on the waterbodies that these facilities are located on or near. All of the data provided in the AskWaters bridge comes from the EPA's Office of Water; see the Water Quality Report Data Dictionary for more detail regarding the water data.
Using the ECHO AskWaters bridge
- Run an ECHO Clean Water Act query. When you receive your returned list of facilities, click on the "Get Water Quality Data" link to return additional water related columns.
A gray "Get Water Quality Data" is displayed when your list of facilities exceeds 350. You will need to refine your query to get below this limit.
- After clicking the "Get Water Quality" link, twelve water related columns are displayed. Below is a screen shot of the first eight water quality columns. The columns are sortable, and a water quality download is available by using the download link beneath the table.
- To access the Water Quality Report, which contains extensive water quality data relating to the NPDES permit, click on the "Water Quality Report" icon beneath the Facility Name
